Overview:
V2X GTS has a requirement for an Officer Senior Trainer (OST) in support of the Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) in Fort Leavenworth, KS. The OST advises, mentors and coordinates the oversight of training management processes, the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Mission Command under the MCTSP and reports directly to the V2X-GTS Site Lead. The successful candidate must be a United States citizen, with proof of citizenship and a Secret clearance. Standard work week is five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Description:
• Must have served as a Brigade and or above Operations Officer or Commander.
• Responsible for advising, mentoring and coordinating ARNG Units in Training Management, MDMP and MC.
• Assists in the planning and execution of Individual through Collective multi-echelon exercise/events.
• Ensures that specifications, standards and practices are enforced, and the quality of all products and services are maintained at acceptable levels as required by the contract.
• Provides customer assistance and advice in a proficient and professional manner.
• Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information to a diverse group of customers.
• Other duties as directed by the V2X Site Lead.
Material & Equipment Directly used:
• Current Army Training Methodology & Doctrine
• Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS)
• Brigade or Division-level command and primary staff experience is preferred
• Applicant may be required to travel and will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures.
• Division Level OSTs must possess or be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. All other OSTs will possess a Secret Clearance.
Physical Activities:
• Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the surrounding environment.
• Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8-hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear.
Education / Certifications:
One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree (subject immaterial) required.
• CGSC / ILE (MEL 4) military education completion required.
Experience:
• Fundamentally computer literate to include (but not limited to) using a personal computer, perform word processing, perform database input, access electronic publications, access the world wide web, brief and debrief software, and fill out electronic forms and grade sheets.
• Ability to support periodic travel.
Skills & Technology Used:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Knowledge of TADSS & Computers.
