Machine Operator
Location: 365 Haacke Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620
Work Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: $18-$22 per hour

The Dixon Group is seeking a dependable, detail‑focused Machine Operator to join our Boss Division in Chestertown, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on production work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrives in a team‑oriented manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will operate and monitor a variety of specialized equipment, including small hydraulic presses, semi‑automated marking devices, and threading machines to produce high‑quality parts to specification. You’ll be responsible for ensuring machines run smoothly, performing routine quality checks, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.

What You'll Do
- Set up, load, and operate production equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Identify, isolate, and report defective parts
- Conduct basic troubleshooting to support continuous production
- Accurately record production data
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic mechanical aptitude, such as experience with:
- Routine vehicle maintenance
- Hydraulic equipment
- Small engine repair
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
- Commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Solid time management and reliability
- Observant, proactive, and accountable
