Greene Lumber, a member of The Baillie Group, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Davenport, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-maintained facility with modern equipment while being part of a company that values safety, teamwork, and long-term growth. Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance and repairs on company equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs involving ABS, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and engine components.
• Troubleshoot using manufacturer flow charts and factory software.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with drivers and team members.
• Assist with general yard and equipment tasks as needed.
Requirements
• 2-3 years experience as a diesel mechanic or relevant mechanical background (all skill levels considered).
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
Compensation: Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $25 – $30 per hour*
Benefits: 401(k) with company match, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Time Off, Monday–Friday schedule
