The estimated pay range for this role is $123,930 - $174,960
Supervisor, Regional Operations for Farmingdale, NJ region is responsible for coordinating and supervising the daily activities of the Meter Services department and making sound decisions guided by the company’s approved policies and procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
- Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety and driving safety performance of staff by providing the appropriate safety training for new and existing personnel
- Monitoring the activities of employees and enforcing conformance to the established work practices and methods
- Implementing instruction and training of employees in the established work practices and methods utilized throughout the department
- Maintaining appropriate levels of meter and metering-equipment inventory
- Coordinating work with Regional Engineering, Line, Distribution Control Centers (DCC), Customer Service, and other departments, cities, municipalities, contractors and customers to schedule construction maintenance to repair or test work
- Working closely with planner, Line and Substation department to plan and schedule work
- Work daily in various computer systems including customer request work scheduling (CREWS), real-time management systems (FieldNet) and SAP to schedule work, look up customer and meter information and order inventory
- Performing routine job site safety assessments with field employees
- Monitoring and documenting work habits of employees, as well as counseling employees, recommending corrective actions required to meet performance standards and acknowledging good work and good work habits
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred. In lieu of a degree, 5 years of related work experience may be considered. Related work experience includes but is not limited to, leading/coaching others, demonstrated experience in customer service, planning or scheduling work
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience in operations, repair and construction of metering installations and applications preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assume supervisory responsibilities, maintain and efficient working organization and have the ability to plan, organize, schedule and coordinate various aspects of the technical work involved
- Knowledge of applied electricity to include AC and DC electrical circuits and equipment.
- Knowledge of company’s preferred practices and methods and the construction standard relating to transmission and distribution (T&D) facilities
- Experience with or able to learn various computer applications including CREWS, PowerOn (power outage reporting system), GIS (geographic information systems), FieldNet, SAP, and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of union contracts and the ability to implement accordingly
