As we scale, we are hiring a Financial Planning & Accounting Associate to strengthen the financial infrastructure that supports controlled, high-quality growth.
This role owns core accounting, finance operations, tax coordination, and benefits administration. You will build and refine processes that ensure accuracy, transparency, and scalability, partnering closely with senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Own day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and bookkeeping
- Oversee monthly close processes with speed, accuracy, and clean documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts, corporate cards, and financial records in QuickBooks
- Maintain audit-ready records and strengthen internal controls
Financial Planning & Operations
- Build and formalize scalable accounting processes and documentation
- Improve workflows, controls, and reporting as the firm grows
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Provide financial visibility to leadership to inform decision-making
Tax & Compliance
- Manage tax workflows, including 1099s preparation and required filings
- Coordinate with external CPA firms on annual returns and compliance
- Maintain organized documentation to support regulatory and audit requirements
Benefits Administration
- Oversee employee benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401(k))
- Lead renewal cycles, vendor reviews, and broker coordination
- Analyze cost trends and plan competitiveness
- Ensure a smooth, high-quality employee experience
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Preference for candidates with exposure to quantitative finance/trading, financial services, or Big 4 accounting backgrounds. Experience in startups and high-growth companies is also helpful
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; familiarity with Rippling or similar HR/payroll systems
- Proficiency with Python or R is a plus
- Process-oriented with the ability to design and implement scalable controls
- Detail-driven with high standards for accuracy and documentation
- Comfortable partnering with external CPAs and internal stakeholders
- CPA is strongly preferred. CFA, or progress toward certification is a plus
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this role is $110,000–$140,000, plus discretionary bonus and benefits. Compensation is determined based on experience and scope of responsibility.
