Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Shift in South San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property staff while delivering a welcoming customer service experience. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors and/or vendors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading dock areas and/or parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe alarms, cameras and/or other security-related systems; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns and/or policy violations per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting emergency services when appropriate and completing required notifications.
- Document patrol activity, incidents and observations in detailed reports and communicate significant updates to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
