
Description
The Human Resources Generalist performs a wide range of HR duties to support Axiom Care’s workforce, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, HRIS maintenance, and performance management. This position plays a key role in ensuring consistent HR practices, supporting employees, and partnering with leadership to strengthen organizational culture.
Full Time - Exempt
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides HRIS administration and support, serving as a subject matter expert for system functionality, maintaining data integrity, configuring workflows, generating reports, and partnering with HR Leadership and vendors to optimize system use.
· Support benefits administration including enrollments, qualifying life events, and open enrollment.
· Supports employee relations matter and assists with investigations by gathering information and documenting actions under the guidance of HR leadership, escalating sensitive or high-risk issues.
· Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Assist with administration of day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
· Maintain and update HR handbook, policies and procedures.
· Assist with regulatory compliance related to healthcare, behavioral health and licensing requirements when applicable, under guidance from HR and Compliance leadership.
· Support internal and external audits.
· Assist leaders with performance management processes including evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
· Conducts stay and exit interviews.
· Assist with payroll functions.
· Participate in conflict resolution and mediation between team members when needed, under direction of HR Leadership.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employments laws and organizational policies.
· Prepares HR Reports related to turnover, headcount compliance, and other HR metrics
· Participates in HR projects and organizational improvement initiatives as assigned.
· Perform other functions as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
· Coordinates training initiatives including compliance trainings and Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS).
· Administers and tacks employee leaves of absence and AD Accommodations, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication.
· Support compensation processes within established guidelines and escalates exceptions or complex determinations to HR leadership.

Requirements
Required Skills:
· Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and HR best practices.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
· Strong problem-solving skills and conflict-resolution abilities.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
· 3 + years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
· Experience with HRIS, benefits administration, and employee relations required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
