About the Role:
Join the Uwill team to support the mental health of underserved populations, such as veterans. Be part of a mission-driven team expanding access to high-quality mental health care. In this role you will be supporting veterans that have suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) by completing a TBI case which includes an assessment and follow up conversation. Specific assessment and process training will be provided as part of the onboarding process.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage a TBI Case assessment and follow up for veterans.
Assessments include:
Mental Disorders (other than PTSD) - Telehealth examination
Initial Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) - Telehealth examination
Review Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) - Telehealth examination
Eating Disorders - Telehealth examination
Deliver culturally competent care for a diverse veteran population, including those from varying eras of service, racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, and socioeconomic experiences.
Adhere to the established risk assessment and management process, including assessing for risk during the initial session with a client and as needed thereafter.
Complete documentation within time frame expectations.
Respond to messages in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Doctorate degree in clinical psychology.
An independent clinical psychology license in any state. PsyPact license a plus.
Professional liability insurance.
HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions.
Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop running Mac OS 10.13+ or Windows 10+, with a camera, microphone, and internet speed of at least 10 Mbps.
Special Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
Understanding of veteran-specific mental health concerns, including trauma, reintegration, and adjustment challenges.
Excellent interpersonal, and listening communication skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical-thinking skills, use of sound judgment.
Ability to respond with empathy, professionalism, and meet clients where they are.
