Job Description
- Lead technical program management for a vehicle line, acting as the primary liaison between design, program management, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure systems meet functional and performance requirements while achieving cost, weight, timing, quality, and investment targets.
- Manage system development from launch through end of life, including concept studies, packaging, cost and weight analysis, supplier management, sourcing, validation, and change management.
- Coordinate resolution of engineering and quality issues across all program stages and functional teams.
- Support plant development and launch activities onsite as part of the launch team.
- Manage specifications and supplier requirements, including design change requests (DCR) and requirement updates.
- Monitor post-launch warranty performance and lead value optimization initiatives to meet program targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent).
- Experience with interior components at an OEM or supplier.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, welding, machining, casting, and coatings.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead without formal authority.
- Experience in program management, including planning timelines and meeting milestones.
- Ability to manage suppliers and collaborate with Tier 1 partners.
- Familiarity with requirements management, change management, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English; willing to travel to supplier and assembly plants in North America.
