
The Role
Campus Life at Macquarie University is currently seeking 2 Senior Retail Assistants to join our friendly and supportive team on a continuing part-time basis.
This role assists with MacShop's operations by providing outstanding customer service, processing sales, replenishing stock and maintaining MacShop’s appearance through general housekeeping and visual merchandising, and supports the management team to identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and product offerings.
About You (Selection Criteria)
You are a customer-focused retail professional who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. You take pride in delivering excellent service and are happy to pitch in to support your team and keep the store running smoothly.
Proven experience in a retail environment, including stock control processes, assisting customers with enqueries, resolving customer complaints, and understanding consumer rights,
Comprehensive understanding of store opening and closing procedures, cash handling practices, and associated safety and security requirements,
Demonstrated skill and experience delivering high quality, customer-focused service to a diverse range of stakeholders,
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, with high attention to detail and consistent accuracy,
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and escalate them appropriately for resolution, and
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and complex service environment.
