Senior Project Engineer

Renewyx is a highly active EPC specializing in the rapid deployment of Distributed Generation solar projects. They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to ensure the technical integrity and coordination of DG solar projects, focusing on either electrical or civil engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the technical integrity and coordination of DG solar projects
• Optimize designs for performance and meet interconnection and site-specific requirements
• Manage projects from initial engineering through to field execution

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience specifically within the DG or utility-scale solar sector
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on either Electrical or Civil disciplines
• Proficiency in essential industry software tools including AutoCAD and PvSyst for technical design and performance modeling
• For those with an electrical focus a strong background in Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems including experience with reclosers and relays
• Expertise in conducting or reviewing Arc Flash studies and other critical electrical system analyses
• For those with a civil focus a proven background in site design and structural engineering for solar applications
• The ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while maintaining a willingness to travel for site visits and project milestones
• A deep understanding of the technical requirements for solar projects in the 1MW to 20MW range
• Strong communication skills to coordinate between multi-disciplinary design teams and field personnel
• A self-motivated approach to project engineering that ensures all technical deadlines and quality standards are met consistently
