About this role

They are seeking a Data Engineer to develop and deploy data-driven systems solutions that improve business performance, focusing on analyzing SAP ERP system information and developing complex datasets and advanced data models.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize relational data models for web applications and data warehouses
- Develop and optimize complex batch and near-real-time SQL queries to meet product requirements and business needs
- Design and implement core foundational datasets that are reusable, scalable, and performant
- Architect, implement, deploy, and maintain data-driven solutions in Snowflake and Databricks
- Develop and manage data pipeline supporting multiple reports, tools, and applications
- Engagement in data governance council to define, classify, and review standards/guidelines to promote data quality and best practices
- Lead, plan, and collaborate in an agile scrum team
- Lead and engage in requirement planning, trainings, and presentations with technical and non-technical teams
Requirements:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience in database structures, data modeling, and implementation for web applications or data warehouses
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines in Snowflake, Microsoft SQL, or similar relational databases
- Experience with data cleansing, curation, mining, manipulation, and analysis of large datasets from multiple systems
- Experience with ETL processes using SQL as the foundation
- U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience with configuration control and DataDevOps practices using CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Proficiency in Python (e.g., Pandas) for advanced data analytics and deployment solutions (e.g., Snowflake, ADF, Matillion)
- Familiarity with Agile software development and tools like VS Code, GitHub Desktop, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of advanced Excel techniques, including pivot tables and Power Query
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis) and Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain processes
