EnergyHub is a company that empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. The Senior Sales Engineer role involves becoming an expert in distributed energy resources, designing solutions for electric vehicle charging and smart devices, and acting as a liaison between various teams to support the company's growth.
Responsibilities:
- Convey the of EnergyHub’s platform, services, and program offerings to clients and prospects
- Conduct client discovery, provide software demos, and engage with prospective client decision-makers in support of EnergyHub’s Sales processes
- Become a technical authority on EnergyHub’s software platform and program offerings
- Assess customer business requirements and key pain points, and work closely with the Product team to design solutions that deliver compelling ROI
- Work closely with EnergyHub’s product and marketing teams to ensure that EnergyHub is delivering the right message to the market
- Facilitate customer feedback so that EnergyHub’s Product teams can inform roadmaps
- Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, from initial discovery and product evaluation through contract negotiation
- Play a supporting role in the RFP process, helping provide content in support of unique requirements
- Coordinate post-close handoff to the Implementation and Client Success teams
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in technical, enterprise software sales, product management, or related fields
- Exceptional communication and project management
- Ability to travel for client visits, prospect demos, industry conferences, etc
- Energy industry preferred, particularly demand side management
- Experience with requirements management tools and processes
- Experience with platform integrations, APIs, data transfers preferred
