As a Data Engineer Senior in Progressive Home CAT Modeling, you will design, implement, and maintain the team’s data infrastructure while collaborating with specialists and business partners to deliver data products for analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the team’s data infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud platforms
- Partner closely with catastrophe modeling specialists, business partners, and model vendors to deliver scalable and efficient data pipelines and a Snowflake data warehouse to enable timely, reliable data products for analytics and reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of two years of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications
- In lieu of degree, minimum of four years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted
- Experience with AWS storage and compute services (e.g., S3, EC2, lambda, etc.)
- Experience with both Microsoft SQL Server and cloud-based database services (e.g. Snowflake, AWS RedShift, etc.)
- Experience with data replication, orchestration, and transformation tools (e.g., HVR, Prefect, DBT, or similar)
- Experience with geospatial, weather, or satellite imagery data
- Experience with vendor catastrophe models (KCC, RMS, Verisk, etc.)
