Jobs via Dice is seeking a Cyber Security Researcher to join their Offensive Security Research team, focused on evaluating and stress-testing AI technologies. The role involves investigating AI system vulnerabilities, analyzing risks, and delivering high-quality technical documentation and recommendations while collaborating with security and engineering partners.
Responsibilities:
- Perform offensive security testing targeting AI systems, models, and deployments
- Identify, reproduce, and analyze AI vulnerabilities, and assess their potential impact
- Develop proof-of-concepts and exploit demonstrations to validate findings
- Contribute to red-team testing activities and collaborative investigations
- Produce high-quality technical reports that document attack chains, vulnerabilities, and response recommendations
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support secure AI development and ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance standards
- Participate in planning for larger security and engineering initiatives within the Specialty Software Engineering space
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent (work experience, military, training, or education)
- 2+ years of AI cybersecurity research experience
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Creating proof-of-concepts, Developing exploits, Reverse engineering
- 3+ years of red-team or converged testing experience
- 3+ years presenting complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders
- 3+ years writing technical documentation explaining attack chains, vulnerabilities, and security impacts
- Experience with AI/GenAI technologies
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with complex problem-solving
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker containerization
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
