Senior Substation Project Manager (PMP) – Utilities (Remote Option)

Primera Engineers is a nationally recognized, woman-owned engineering firm that believes great projects start with great teams. They are seeking an experienced Senior Substation Project Manager who will lead and mentor a team in delivering substation designs while managing project budgets and fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team delivering substation physical and protection & control designs for utilities and EPC partners
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships throughout all phases
• Review and guide deliverables to ensure technical quality and compliance with industry standards
• Foster collaboration and drive a team culture focused on communication, accountability, and innovation
• Support business development through proposal preparation and client engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor and problem solver for clients and team members alike

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• PMP is required; PE license is a plus
• 12+ years of experience in substation and power systems project management, with utility or EPC exposure
• Deep understanding of high-voltage substation design and the power delivery process
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
