MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid, part-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspecting cable assemblies, harnesses, and related components to ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards
Verifying proper labeling, routing, termination, and continuity of copper and fiber optic cabling within facility environments
Reviewing production documentation, work orders, and test results to ensure completeness and accuracy
Conducting in-process and final inspections within the cable shop to validate adherence to quality control procedures
Documenting non-conformances and collaborating with technicians and leadership to implement corrective actions
Supporting configuration management and maintaining accurate quality assurance records and inspection logs
Assisting with audits, process evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cable shop performance and compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, cable fabrication, or facility cabling environments
Experience inspecting and testing copper and/or fiber optic cable assemblies
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cable installation and termination
Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications
Ability to document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a production-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting government or defense-related facility cable operations
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and testing equipment (e.g., continuity testers, fiber certification tools)
Prior experience in a Production Task Order Contract (PTOC) environment
Quality-related certifications or formal training in inspection processes
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the facility to access cable racks, equipment, and production areas.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
