Senior Systems Engineer (Remote)

As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you are an integral team member contributing to a pivotal transformation to the B2B, as well as the B2C spaces. The role of Sr. Systems Engineer is to maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience. Working as an integral part of multiple product teams, this role requires close and continuous collaboration with fellow team members, including, developers, QA, performance teams, product owners, and business analysts, to translate platform requirements, user stories, and functional requirements into technical requirements and needs, depending on area of expertise. This role provides guidance and oversight to ensure teams can successfully develop, test, and maintain quality for various eCommerce, Web-based, Client-Server applications, and other Systems Integrations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with multiple departments in the organization, focusing on company-wide initiatives as well as being the SME on multiple B2B and B2C applications. Oversee the creation, management, and execution of test plans and test cases or other relevant areas of expertise in Quality. Report to leadership on relevant statistics for area of expertise. Lead and guide offshore resources.
• Oversee all aspects of area of expertise inside Quality, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure goals are met. Lead all relevant aspects of all production releases, providing services and coordinating resources internally and externally.
• Lead processes and create additional utilities to optimize the test suite.
• Work independently with multiple Scrum teams as well as on multiple projects.

 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Area of Study: Computer Science
• Minimum Years of Experience: 4
• Type of Experience: Must have strong expertise in QA, Agile Methodology, CICD, eCommerce
• Technical Competencies & Information Systems: Akamai CloudTest, JMeter (graphana, elasticsearch, Kibana), HP Load Runner, SQL, AS400 knowledge, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, TestProject.io, QA tools like qTest, JIRA, Selenium
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met 
  • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services, and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
  • Lead and review test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures
  • Good knowledge of SDLC processes
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Very good communication skills and able to lead others
  • Must have experience with Performance Testing tool CloudTest, JMeter and Hp LoadRunner
  • Experience working with Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or Eclipse 
  • Understanding of Oracle service contracts
  • Basic knowledge of HTML for inspect element
  • AS400 knowledge
  • Ability to write SQL
  • Able to work independently with different scrum teams
  • Must have experience using QA tools like qTest, JIRA, Selenium etc.
  • Must have experience working with onsite offshore teams
• Language Skills: excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Personal Attributes & Other/Preferred:
  • Should be able to work individually as well as in a team
  • Experience with automation and performance testing
  • Adobe CMS tool
  • M-site and Mobile apps testing knowledge
