Assessment Clinician (Internal title:
Client Access Specialist), you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the care they need, right when they need it. You’ll provide timely, compassionate assessments and guide clients into services that support their wellness and recovery goals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments for individuals accessing care.
- Determine service needs and coordinate client enrollments across multiple programs.
- Provide brief therapy and develop treatment plans where applicable.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Support the Open Access process by guiding referral flow and client engagement.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation per agency and state standards.
- Provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed services to diverse populations.
- Respond to walk-in behavioral health crises.
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology required
- PLPC, PLMFT, or LMSW in Missouri required
- LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Missouri preferred
- At least three (3) years’ experience preferred
- Working knowledge of DSM-5 required
