Position Summary:
The Integrated Facilities Manager (IFM) will oversee all aspects of facilities operations for a large, multi‑site public education environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of school buildings ranging from elementary to district-level administrative facilities. This role ensures safe, compliant, well‑maintained learning environments through strong operational leadership, proactive maintenance management, and consistent service delivery.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical expertise, client service excellence, and multi‑site operational oversight, with the ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and execute facilities programs across a complex, high‑demand educational setting. Success in this role requires strategic planning, hands‑on leadership, and a commitment to providing an exceptional facilities experience for students, educators, and community stakeholders.
- Direct and coordinate all integrated facilities services across a multi‑building school portfolio, ensuring service delivery meets contractual obligations, compliance standards, and operational targets.
- Maintain strong communication with district‑level stakeholders to address evolving needs, resolve issues, and support overall educational mission standards.
- Implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs, utilizing CMMS tools to track work orders, reduce deferred maintenance, and improve asset performance.
- Oversee custodial, maintenance, grounds, and seasonal operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of school facilities.
- Ensure adherence to safety programs, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and local/state education facility regulations.
- Develop, lead, and coach a team of supervisors, leads, and frontline technicians; foster accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor operational budgets, implement cost‑control strategies, and manage vendor relationships to support efficient facility operations.
- Support emergency response, incident management, and coordination with school administrators during operational disruptions.
- Assist with seasonal and special-school‑event operational needs such as summer deep cleaning, winter readiness, and district‑wide initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3–5 years of supervisory experience in integrated facilities management, building operations, or public-sector facilities oversight; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and general building maintenance.
- Experience supporting custodial operations and multi-site facility service delivery.
- Strong understanding of maintenance management principles, scheduling, and operational budgeting.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements, chemical handling protocols, and safety program implementation.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with school leadership, stakeholders, and facility teams.
- Valid driver’s license.
Computer Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with CMMS platforms preferred.
- Basic understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred.
