Redwood Credit Union is looking for Digital Experience Design Intern in their
Junior or Senior year. This internship opportunity provides hands‑on experience in designing and improving modern digital banking experiences. This position will contribute to the research, design and implementation of Redwood Credit Union’s digital assets, including the public website, online banking, and loan origination systems.
Internship Details
- This position is for a full-time, seasonal internship – 40 hours per week.
- This internship will begin on, June 8, 2026, and end on August 14, 2026 (end date can be modified based on fall college schedule).
- Ability to provide a recent transcript will be required during the interview process.
- This position is not eligible for benefits other than what’s required by law.
Preferred Majors
Computer Science, Digital Design, and UX/UI Design or a closely related field
Requirements
- Working knowledge of UX and UI principles such as usability, visual/architectural hierarchy, consistency, accessibility, simplicity, and clarity.
- Desire experience using Confluence and Sharepoint.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills.
- Strong service orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Must be a Junior or Senior in college with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
In addition, the following skills would be desirable:
- Familiarity with Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, Backbone, Node.JS, etc).
- Understanding of the purpose and use of APIs.
Compensation
$23/hourly

Responsibilities
- Web design and development work using HTML, CSS, Figma, and Adobe Suite, including enhancements and bug fixes to support and maintain public website.
- Research, design, develop, and support the implementation of UX/UI projects across both internal and external digital platforms.
- Support UX/UI design projects for both customer-facing and internal digital systems
- General Quality Assurance tasks.
- Task management through work organization tool (Jira).
- Participate in meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Foster positive relationships with other Redwood Credit Union team members.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
