Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations / General Manager, the National Restoration Supervisor is a field position that monitors, oversees, and works with crews on site for the successful completion of daily assignments. This role works in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Manager Assistant, Dispatcher, and Production Manager to oversee the scheduling of staff and subtrades. This position handles large jobs, including high-risk/high-exposure or complex projects, and can supervise large groups of skilled and unskilled laborers. The National Restoration Supervisor is able to facilitate a project from beginning to end, operate all applicable equipment, and acts as the main contact for all field employees involved in the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in all functions to ensure effectiveness within the crew while adhering to all BELFOR policies and procedures.
- Run individual crews and act as the primary field contact, communicating consistently with the Project Manager regarding site progress.
- Monitor, oversee, and work directly with crews on-site to ensure the successful completion of daily assignments.
- Oversee administrative field requirements, ensuring all personnel are signing crew sheets and accurately clocking in and out.
- Maintain the PTS (Project Tracking Sheet), ensuring all names and hours are recorded correctly for submission.
- Collect and turn in all necessary field paperwork to the Project Administrator in a timely manner.
- Ensure the safety of the entire crew by enforcing BELFOR safety protocols and identifying site hazards.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Production Managers to coordinate the scheduling of staff and subtrades.
- Facilitate large-scale projects from commencement to completion, including high-risk and complex environments.
- Operate all applicable equipment required for restoration and mitigation efforts.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a field leadership role within the restoration or construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex, or high-exposure projects.
- Strong competency in field documentation, time tracking, and administrative reporting.
- Proficiency in operating a wide variety of specialized restoration equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in active field environments, including high-risk or complex project sites.
- Capacity to operate heavy or specialized equipment as required by the project scope.
