: NEXCOMHQ Pay Range: $62,930 - $81,237 - Based on Experience Job Summary:
Responsible for oversight and management of the merchandise information system database and user support programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to merchandising systems end-users including troubleshooting system application testing and training.
- Performs as a business lead including requirements and process development of systems projects. Acts as liaison between merchandising and information technology IT .
- Partners with IT and business users to define system requirements develop functional specifications and perform system and end-user testing. - Develops training documentation for merchandising system i.e. test scenarios scripts test plans design documents training documents including functionality testing on new patch releases system enhancements and new version releases.
- Monitor and resolve requests from end users within an established timeframe as it relates to the merchandising systems. Partner with IT when necessary to identify and determine a resolution.
- Develop and execute user acceptance testing in cooperation with IT.
- Partner with all team members technical and functional to meet company objectives.
- Maintain communication with team members and team leaders.
- Coordinates and manages projects as a representative of merchandising.
- Develops and implements programs plans policies and procedures related to merchandising business objectives.
- Partners with business users to drive process improvements.
- Ability to effectively create and use SQL queries for data analysis.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Access and Excel to design reports and troubleshoot system issues.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective training program for modules relating to the merchandise system for end users.
- Coordinates training with appropriate divisions to ensure the full potential and benefits of the merchandising system are realized.
- Reports directly to a Supply Chain systems manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience in administrative merchandising technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a knowledge of merchandising and procurement practices skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
One year of education above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor s degree for three years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Three years of progressively responsible experience which provided background in retail merchandising and operation management developing and administering open-to-buy providing guidance in selection of sources of supply control of retail inventory levels analyzing operating results planning and developing sales promotions maintenance of markdown management program presenting information to groups of individuals in a business environment and development of training documentation curriculum.
