Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 per annum

Summary:
The Operations Support Analyst provides analytical, operational, and systems support to Atlantic operations, with a focus on improving profitability, efficiency, and service delivery across the business. This role works closely with operations teams, leadership, and corporate partners to analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support the execution of operational initiatives.
Responsibilities:
As an Operations Support Analyst, your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Adhere to all Miller Waste Systems safety policies and applicable Provincial Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
• Provide analytical and operational support to Atlantic operations, focusing on customer, route, and line-of-business profitability, cost control, and margin improvement.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify cost savings, efficiency gains, service optimization opportunities, and performance gaps versus budget and other regions.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support consistent, data-driven decision-making.
• Maintain working knowledge of core systems (e.g., Trux, Dynamics, Dossier) and support process improvements and data integrity initiatives.
• Take an end-to-end view of operations across all lines of business, identifying best practices and standardization opportunities across Atlantic Canada.
• Partner with operations leadership and frontline teams to develop practical, data-informed solutions, including field observation and ride-alongs.
• Provide on-site operational support as required (e.g., dispatch, routing, supervision, customer service), including during start-ups, peak periods, or absences.
• Support new contract launches, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Travel and occasional extended hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Competencies & Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools, data visualization platforms, or AI-enabled analytics is considered an asset.
• Experience or exposure to operations, logistics, transportation, FP&A, cost accounting, or engineering environments preferred.
• Waste, transportation, or logistics industry experience considered an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees and management.
• High level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel and provide on-site operational support as required.
