🎯 Purpose

Be responsible for performing and assigning complex or highly difficult drafting or modeling work that requires independent judgment and decision‑making to determine the course of action for projects, consistent with the organization’s functional policies and objectives. This includes the ability to produce all required IC design deliverables for FEL-3 and detailed design – such as wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and associated documentation. Demonstrate the ability to lead and/or train less experienced personnel in drafting and modeling.

📋 Responsibilities

• Make responsible decisions regarding the direction of drafting and modeling deliverables, ensuring that all instrumentation wiring, loops, and related IC documentation meet project requirements. Difficult, complex, or unusual decisions are generally escalated to more experienced discipline members such as engineers, who hold full responsibility for the design.

• Work autonomously, enabling the planning and organization of tasks in assigned projects.

• Receive assignments related to projects with specific objectives and priorities. May supervise activities or be supervised to determine accuracy, completeness, and achievement of objectives. May receive supervised or self‑directed training in more advanced discipline practices or applications.

• Work in teams of up to 6 direct reports consisting of less experienced designers within the same discipline.

• Maintain constant and effective communication with the work team, informing and persuading on complex matters and issues through the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports, as well as through collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.

• Work competently and efficiently with specialized design, analysis, and modeling tools, as well as interdisciplinary data‑centric methods.

• Build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships throughout the organization; use diplomacy and tact; be approachable; communicate clearly, precisely, and consistently both verbally and in writing. Apply active listening principles and encourage feedback to and from others.

• Work in a team with visibility to high‑level stakeholders; be able to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders; be capable of prioritizing workloads and assisting others in achieving objectives.

What you will bring

🔍 Requirements:

-          Be proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 and Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams). Able to navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. Able to organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to established formats and policies.

-          Generally have more than 10 years of experience in relevant disciplines, with a competent understanding of certain industry codes, standards, and good practices.

-          Relevant experience includes proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, SmartPlant 3D, and AVEVA E3D (desirable), as well as knowledge of 3D modeling criteria for field instrumentation, wiring, and interconnection of control systems.

-           Experience in drafting and modeling tasks during conceptual, basic, FEL-3, and detailed engineering phases for industrial projects (Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others) is required.
