Experienced Professional, Software Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong full-stack development skills, deep experience in UI/UX engineering, and substantial expertise in Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) for transportation and linear infrastructure. This position supports the development of next-generation digital engineering tools and requires hands-on experience with Bentley or Autodesk design modeling environments, data extraction workflows, and Azure-integrated application development. The ideal candidate brings a hybrid background across software engineering and civil infrastructure modeling, with a proven ability to translate engineering data into scalable, cloud-enabled software solutions.

• Develop high-quality front-end interfaces using modern frameworks (React, Blazor, or similar), with a strong emphasis on UI/UX best practices.

• Build full-stack features and services integrated with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, etc.).

• Design and implement backend components using Python or C#/.NET, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.

• Work with IFC schema, specializing in roads, highways, bridges, or linear infrastructure: geometry, relationships, concept templates, property sets, and schema interpretation.

• Collaborate with engineering and BIM domain experts to shape data structures, workflows, and application logic supporting digital delivery.

• Extract, transform, and validate design data from CAD/BIM models (Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, OpenBrIM, Autodesk tools, etc.).

• Develop or support ETL/ELT pipelines and scripts for model data quality checks, clash detection logic, and automated validation routines.

• Participate in technical design sessions, sprint planning, architecture reviews, and code reviews.

• Contribute to the creation of engineering-centric digital workflows and interoperability tools to support US transportation and infrastructure clients.

Civil Infrastructure & IFC Expertise

• 5+ years creating or working with design models in Bentley OpenRoads, OpenBridge, or OpenBrIM, preferably for US DOTs or transportation agencies.

• 3–5 years working with the IFC schema, including: architecture, geometry modeling, relationships, concept templates, property sets.

• Experience in highway or rail/transit domain preferred.

Software Engineering & ETL/ELT

• 5–7 years building data extraction, validation, and transformation workflows using ETL/ELT tools or programming libraries.

• Strong scripting and data handling skills in Python, C#, .NET.

• Hands-on experience implementing data quality checks and clash detection logic.

• 5+ years working with one or more major design/modeling platforms (Bentley, Autodesk, or similar).

Full-Stack Development

• Strong full-stack capability with emphasis on UI/UX engineering.

• Experience building front-end experiences using React, Blazor, or similar frameworks.

• Back-end engineering expertise using C#, .NET Core

• Experience integrating with Azure cloud services.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with US transportation design standards and digital delivery workflows.

• Knowledge of BIM interoperability standards (e.g., IFC, IDS, BCF).

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.

• Experience building engineering or infrastructure analytics tools.
