The Director of Product Management and Downstream Marketing is responsible for driving commercial growth, portfolio expansion, and market leadership through effective product strategy and downstream marketing execution.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept through launch, growth, and end-of-life
- Portfolio strategy aligned to growth priorities and customer needs
- Product differentiation through pricing, positioning, and portfolio optimization
- Conversion of market insights into actionable investment decisions
- Strong partnership with R&D and operations to ensure scalable and compliant solutions
- Lead pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and profitability initiatives
- Lead downstream marketing with accountability for revenue and adoption
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
- Create sales enablement tools and customer-facing content to drive adoption
- Align with sales leadership on targeting, messaging, and field readiness
- Track KPIs to measure downstream marketing effectiveness
- Demand generation, digital campaigns, content, and automation
- Consistent and compelling product storytelling across channels
- Data-driven optimization of digital performance
- Build, lead, and scale high-performing product and marketing teams
- Set expectations, accountability, and execution standards
- Develop future leaders and strengthen bench depth
- Act as a visible cross-functional leader
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in product management and downstream marketing within life sciences, diagnostics, biotech, or adjacent regulated markets
- Proven people leader with experience managing teams in product management and/or downstream marketing
- Demonstrated success owning product commercialization, go-to-market execution, and lifecycle performance
- Strong experience using digital marketing and demand generation to drive measurable commercial outcome
- Ability to simplify complex technical offerings into compelling, differentiated customer value
- Data-driven mindset with a bias for action and accountability
- Experience in IVD, diagnostics, OEM life sciences, or B2B scientific markets
- Experience leading global or multi-region portfolios
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and performance analytics platforms
- Track record of launching new products that materially impacted growth
