The Center for Free, Fair, and Accountable Democracy (CFFAD) is a volunteer organization focused on promoting accountable representation and civic education. They are seeking a part-time Social Media Marketer to promote their online educational resources and research, targeting adult audiences while working within a limited budget.
Responsibilities:
- Market online educational resources to various adult audiences
- Market research to practitioners and donors
- Devise strategies to capture and maintain the attention of busy individuals
- Adapt marketing approaches to specific audiences of U.S. adults who are ambivalent about democracy versus autocracy
- Collaborate with a small team, including a market researcher, communications strategist, and fundraiser
Requirements:
- B.A. or better in Communications, Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Marketing, Social Media, or similar field
- Substantial and relevant experience with social media marketing for other organizations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with a variety of social media marketing platforms
- Experience with analytical tools to show monthly progress towards larger audience sizes, returning audience shares, audience engagement, conversions, and other indicators
- Familiarity with researching specific market personas
- Experience developing messaging frameworks
- Prior experience in organizations providing civic education or adult education
- Familiarity with IRS and state regulations on soliciting and non-partisan content
