Software Engineer

As a Senior Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator, you will design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software solutions for next-generation autonomous avionics systems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to meet stringent performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems comprising firmware and hardware components
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define, refine, and enhance product concepts, ensuring testability, quality, and performance standards are met
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members to foster technical growth and knowledge sharing
• Participate actively in proposals, preliminary design reviews, and critical design reviews to ensure technical robustness and alignment with project goals
• Maintain the ability to obtain program access, including security clearance, to work effectively within classified environments

Requirements:

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in embedded software development
• Experience with embedded C++ programming
• Experience with embedded software security
• Experience with software architecture design and implementation
• Proficiency with embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux
• Demonstrated experience developing complex integrated hardware, firmware, and software systems
• Ability to obtain interim and full security clearance
• U.S. citizenship requirement
• Familiarity with electrical schematics
• Familiarity with firmware languages like VHDL or Verilog
• Familiarity with assembly language
• Experience with lab instruments
• Experience with device driver development
