About this role
Jobot is a company in the Healthtech space seeking a strong technical leader for a hands-on Engineering Manager role. The candidate will lead and mentor a team of engineers while working closely with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver scalable cloud-based healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 5+ engineers
- Stay close to the architecture and technical decisions
- Drive execution, delivery, and quality
- Partner cross-functionally with Product
- Establish practical engineering processes (without overcomplicating them)
Requirements:
- 5+ years in software engineering
- 2+ years leading teams of 5+ developers
- Strong cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure)
- Background in healthcare or healthtech
- Hands-on technical depth (architecture, system design, code reviews)
- Sound judgment and common sense in decision-making
- Ability to balance velocity with quality
- Experience building cloud-native healthcare platforms
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
