About this role
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a GCP Data Engineering Architect to lead the migration of 1010data to Google Cloud Platform. The role requires extensive experience in data engineering and architecture, with a focus on utilizing GCP technologies for data manipulation and pipeline development.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate 7-12 years of professional experience in data engineering or architecture roles, preferably within the retail industry
- Exhibit strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform technologies, specifically Composer, BigQuery, BigTable, DataFlow, DataProc, DataStore, and GCP DevOps tools
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and Python code for data manipulation and pipeline development
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Apply best practices in cloud-based data architecture, pipeline orchestration, and automation
Requirements:
- Demonstrate 7-12 years of professional experience in data engineering or architecture roles, preferably within the retail industry
- Exhibit strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform technologies, specifically Composer, BigQuery, BigTable, DataFlow, DataProc, DataStore, and GCP DevOps tools

- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Apply best practices in cloud-based data architecture, pipeline orchestration, and automation
- Possess certifications related to Google Cloud Platform, such as Google Professional Data Engineer or similar
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development frameworks
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java or Scala
- Understanding of machine learning workflows and model operationalization in cloud environments
