Ryder System, Inc. is a leading logistics and transportation company, and they are seeking a Rental Customer Development Manager to enhance their rental sales presence. This role focuses on customer retention and sales development for the rental product line, ensuring growth and profitability through effective customer relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a contact with the customers through multiple channels
- Ensure quality service is provided by effectively handling customer complaints and staying abreast of customer needs and long term rentals
- Develop relationships through cold calls, telephone solicitation and email
- Through the use of product knowledge, assess customer's needs and develops a proposal
- Work with rental operations to ensure the equipment is available
- The RCDM is also responsible for finding additional opportunities as the accounts fall off the RAM book of business on a monthly basis
- Contacting actual decision maker, developing a competitive proposal
- Focus on retention metrics to ensure a positive customer experience
- Proposal and contract development, maintaining customer files, preparation of follow-up correspondence and coordination with other departments
- Maintaining Salesforce integrity and accuracy of customer data in the system
- Administration-credit approval, collections of receivables, and dispute resolution
- Follow-up within a specific time frame
- Compliance with company procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required Marketing or 5 years equivalent job related experience
- One (1) year or more sales experience or equivalent sales training required
- Full working knowledge of Ryder procedures (i.e. credit, payment terms, insurance coverage, etc.) advanced required
- Three (3) years or more sales experience preferred
- One (1) year or more Industry experience preferred
