Artificial Intelligence Engineer (developer productivity)

XD Innovation is seeking two Automation / AI Developers to transform how software is built, tested, and deployed. This hands-on engineering position focuses on enhancing developer productivity through automation engineering and AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build automation systems that enhance developer productivity
• Integrate LLM capabilities (e.g. via OpenAI APIs) into engineering workflows
• Develop agentic workflows to support code generation and review processes
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks
• Implement DevOps automation across CI/CD pipelines
• Develop robust API integrations between internal and external systems
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling strategy and best practice

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in Python development
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs and AI APIs
• Experience designing or implementing code generation automation
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• DevOps automation experience
• Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience building or orchestrating agentic workflows
• Experience improving developer tooling or internal platforms
• Exposure to cloud-native environments
• Passion for optimising engineering systems and delivery processes
