Lime is the largest global shared micromobility business, operating in close to 30 countries across five continents. They are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to drive core commerce operations and deliver new products and infrastructure for their New Verticals team. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring individuals, and shaping Lime's engineering culture.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver software to enable new customer initiatives and own the balance between time to launch, ability to pivot, and ability to scale. Seek and utilize knowledge of the Lime engineering ecosystem to find the right solution, or design what's needed
- Learn from our customers by shipping software and understanding the market environment
- Collaborate with coworkers in Product, Design, Data, and Operations. Ensure solutions interoperate well with Lime's full stack of services. The team’s work will span cloud-based backend services, web-based tools, mobile clients, and third-party applications
- Mentor individuals at Lime and participate in learning, growth, and improvement activities
- Participate in the shaping of Lime's Engineering culture
Requirements:
- 7+ years of industry professional software development experience, and a track record of building impactful products or systems
