Moat Systems Inc. is an innovative company specializing in AI-powered facility management solutions. They are seeking a Business Development Representative to proactively engage with potential clients, focusing on outbound sales strategies to drive business growth in the enterprise software market.
Responsibilities:
- Own the top of the funnel—build target account lists in Apollo and run multi-touch outbound campaigns (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn)
- Research facilities management teams at universities, school districts, corporate campuses, and large property portfolios
- Get prospects to care about the millions they're wasting on reactive maintenance and poorly tracked assets
- Run discovery calls to qualify need, budget authority, and timing— tee up demos for AEs
- You’ll even get commissions on qualified meetings, but also on closed deals
- Consistently hit (and beat) monthly quotas for meetings booked and pipeline generated
- Test, iterate, and optimize messaging over phone, email and other—what resonates with a VP of Facilities at a university vs. a Director of Operations at a REIT?
- Understand the balance among volume, personalization, relevance and conversion – emails sent, but with high interest-response rates; voicemails left, but with great call back rates; meetings booked, but high opportunity conversion (no list burning here)
- Partner with AEs to refine handoff processes and win deals together
- Keep Apollo and our CRM squeaky clean so we know what's working
- Feed insights back to the team—what objections are you hearing? What's resonating? What do buyers actually care about?
- Help shape our ICP as we figure out who converts fastest and sees the biggest ROI
