The Senior Accountant reports to the NAIP Assistant Controller and will be a key member of the RECO & LP Accounting team and work in collaboration with accounting and finance teams. Candidate must be a self-starter, adept at communicating with multiple levels of an organization, and have the ability to build trust, influence, and work with teams cross functionally.
Responsibilities:
- Fixed Asset & CIP Life Cycle Management
- Managing CIP accounts, including reviewing site-specific activity
- Performing CIP reconciliations for the USA and Canada
- Capital Expenditure Reporting - Generating and distributing monthly essential reports
- Reviewing and approving new project submissions on the Capex Management site
- Serving as the subject matter expert for the Capex Management site, troubleshooting user issues
- Monitoring and auditing Capex related tasks with IBM (offshore team)
- Month-End Journal Entries & Accruals
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for US balance sheet accounts
- Support plant controllers including researching and preparing analytics
- FP&A Deliverables - Variances, Forecast, Budget
- Ad-hoc analytics and assist on projects as needed
- Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the company
Requirements
- Accounting degree
- Experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including month end close; Big 4 a plus
- Comfortable working in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Team player is a must with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Large ERP system (OneStream a plus)
- Strong Excel skills a must
- Strong attention to detail
