As a Distribution Engineer II, you will support the Transmission & Distribution electrical design group by contributing to the delivery of mechanical and electrical systems and substation solutions through planning, engineering, and design.
Responsibilities:
- Follow and be responsive to budgets and schedules; identify departures or issues early to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule
- Will be assigned to project teams and may make major design recommendations
- Coordinate all design work with other team disciplines
- Provide quality assurance checks on drawing packages and calculations prepared by others
- Interpret and apply client, company, and field standards as needed
- Increase knowledge of relevant local codes and industry standards
- Design, manage plan production by staff, and assist in production of construction documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and quantity takeoffs

- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of appropriate local codes and industry standards
- Analyze and solve construction and operational problems
- Assist in the preparation of proposals for new work via scope and fee development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as Civil or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of engineering & design experience within Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Underground (UG) engineering power utilities projects
- Master's degree in an appropriate field - Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- PE license
