Data Engineer

Holistic Industries is a company involved in various aspects of the cannabis industry, and they are seeking a Data Engineer to enhance their data foundation. The role involves building and maintaining data capture processes, ETL pipelines, and ensuring data integrity to support decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Ops and BI teams to build and improve data capture processes
• Create and maintain ETL pipelines that move data smoothly between systems
• Integrate external platforms through secure APIs and keep data in sync
• Build and tune Postgres databases to keep performance strong and data clean
• Turn business needs into clear analytics, dashboards, and reporting
• Look for ways to make our data processes faster, more reliable, and easier to scale
• Keep documentation organized so the team can easily follow systems and integrations

Requirements:

• Tech background with at least 3 years working in software or data engineering
• Solid Postgres skills — building tables, writing queries, and keeping things running smoothly
• Comfortable working in AWS (RDS, Redshift, Glue/Athena, S3, Lambda/ECS) and building/maintaining ETL pipelines
• Experience integrating external systems through APIs and developing backend services (bonus points if you've worked with .NET)
• A collaborative mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
