Gorilla Logic is seeking a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to join our client’s Cloud control Platform team. This highly technical role focuses on automation, scalability, and operational excellence within a large enterprise environment, helping to design and support automation for cloud resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation solutions for cloud provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks
- Create and enhance tools and scripts in Go and Python to streamline infrastructure workflows
- Work with Terraform and Tekton pipelines to manage infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation
- Collaborate closely with other platform engineers to evolve and support Ford’s internal Cloud Control backend
- Manage and automate processes across thousands of GitHub repositories to improve consistency and reduce manual work
- Ensure high reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems
- Partner with teams supporting Red Hat Developer Hub and custom React-based plugins to ensure smooth integration between backend and front-end layers
- Contribute to documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Automation, or Systems Engineering roles
- Proven expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code workflows
- Strong scripting and development skills in Go and Python
- Familiarity with Tekton or similar CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Strong Linux administration and automation background
- Experience supporting large-scale, distributed systems and Git-based repositories
- Hands-on experience in GCP (preferred), or other major cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Exposure to Red Hat Developer Hub, Backstage.io, or related plugin ecosystems
- Familiarity with React and TypeScript, especially in the context of integration with DevOps tools
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container orchestration frameworks
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Dynatrace or related observability platforms
- Understanding of modern DevOps practices: CI/CD optimization, automation frameworks, and platform reliability
