As a Sales Engineer within the AECO segment, you will leverage your construction expertise to provide technical support during the sales process, helping clients optimize their workflows and drive digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-impact technical demonstrations and "discovery" sessions, expertly documenting and solving critical business issues for prospective construction partners
- Design and present complex, cross-application prototype solutions that validate software efficacy and showcase the future of connected construction workflows
- Act as a trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and COOs, providing construction industry expertise to address high-level business concerns and facilitate successful partnerships
Requirements:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Construction Management (or equivalent expert experience in construction management or construction software consulting)
- You possess deep knowledge of the construction industry, specifically concerning construction accounting, P&L metrics, key workflows (change orders, invoice review, etc.), and data collection
- You know how construction companies collect and manage data, how they use data to set up KPIs, and how you can improve their decision-making
- You have hands-on experience with Trimble Viewpoint Software or similar enterprise-level ERP solutions (e.g., Vista, Spectrum, CMiC, or Sage)
- You are a natural communicator, able to translate complex technical specifications into persuasive presentations for diverse audiences
- You will represent Trimble with honesty, integrity, and professionalism
- You handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgement
- Prior experience in a dedicated Sales Engineer or Customer Success role within the SaaS space
- Prior experience as a key employee (controller, accountant, project manager, etc.) for a contractor that specializes in horizontal or underground construction
