AWS Cloud Security Engineer - Mid

AIS (Applied Information Sciences) is a mission-driven company focused on making a difference through innovative projects. They are seeking a talented individual to join as an AWS Cloud Security Engineer, responsible for driving the stability of cloud-based networks and managing security assessments and configurations.

Responsibilities:

• Drives the stability and sustainability of the cloud-based networks, software systems for scaling and reliable operations
• Performs system integration, verification and validation and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Creates proactive engineering mechanisms that will enable the team to manage the health of a number of distributed VMs
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
• Utilizes trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
• Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments
• Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications
• Active Secret clearance (or higher)
• Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices
• Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems
