S&P Global is a leading provider of essential intelligence, and they are seeking a Product Engineer for their Enterprise Solutions AI Product team. The role involves designing and building proof-of-concept applications that demonstrate Generative AI capabilities and collaborating with business stakeholders to create technical solutions that drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build proof-of-concept applications that demonstrate GenAI capabilities and business value to stakeholders across the organization
- Create comprehensive architecture specifications and technical designs for GenAI solutions using AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and other enterprise AI platforms
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand use cases, translate requirements into technical solutions, and communicate complex AI concepts in accessible terms
- Partner with product teams during ideation phases to identify opportunities for GenAI integration and design feasible solution approaches
- Develop within corporate AWS environments and infosec requirements, ensuring POC designs can transition smoothly to production teams
- Establish and document best practices, design patterns, and reusable components for GenAI solution development
- Stay current on emerging GenAI technologies and evaluate their potential application within our enterprise context
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience, with demonstrated ability to build functional applications from concept to working prototype
- Practical experience with GenAI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or similar)
- Strong grasp of solution architecture principles, with ability to design systems that balance innovation with enterprise constraints
- Excellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements
- Comfort working in the 'messy middle' of innovation: rapid prototyping, iterating based on feedback, and knowing when a POC is 'done enough'
- Enthusiasm for staying hands-on with code while also thinking strategically about product direction
- Experience working in Innovation Studio, R&D, or similar exploratory product development environments
- Track record of creating compelling technical demonstrations that drive business decisions or secure stakeholder buy-in
- Familiarity with financial services technology landscape or regulatory/compliance considerations
- Ability to context-switch between multiple POC projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Experience collaborating with architecture review boards or navigating corporate application registration processes
- Background in data engineering, ETL pipelines, or document processing workflows
