Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Process Engineer to join our team in Salisbury, United States. In this role, you'll play a critical part in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring they operate within established parameters while maintaining the highest quality standards. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support new product introduction, drive continuous improvement, and implement robust process solutions that align with our business strategy. - Implement, evaluate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure they remain within established parameters and deliver consistent product quality
- Support new product introduction by providing process expertise throughout the development lifecycle and facilitating technology transfer to operations
- Develop and document comprehensive process methodologies, creating clear training materials to enable smooth knowledge transfer to operations teams
- Establish, document, and maintain robust preventative maintenance plans for critical processes and equipment to maximize uptime and reliability
- Conduct root cause analyses utilizing established problem-solving tools and methodologies to identify and resolve process issues efficiently
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and qualify new materials and equipment that enhance process capability and performance
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews, including requirements definition, manufacturability assessments, and application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality engineers to facilitate initial builds, prototyping, and validation of products developed by the design team
- Propose enhancements to new and existing product designs to optimize manufacturability and reduce production costs
- Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to accelerate development cycles and ensure delivery commitments are met
- Provide technical support and guidance to organizational stakeholders including manufacturing, quality, marketing, and sales teams
- Contribute to team training, development, mentoring, and onboarding initiatives to build organizational capability
- Support and promote a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals
Qualifications
**Education Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
**Required Experience**
- Minimum 2 years of relevant process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and equipment operation
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems using data-driven approaches and define effective solutions
- Experience with process documentation, methodology development, and technical training material creation
**Technical Knowledge and Skills**
- Proficiency with CAD software, including 3D solid modeling (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and military specifications relevant to manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities
- Proficiency in data analysis and process metrics interpretation
- Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiarity with material characterization equipment and process validation techniques
- Experience with process control systems and statistical process control (SPC)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience supporting new product introduction and technology transfer initiatives
- Certification in quality management or process improvement (ASQ, Six Sigma, etc.)

- Ability to travel domestically as needed (less than 10%)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all documentation
