ANS is a consulting engineering firm recognized for its rapid growth and innovative approach. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform power system modeling, prepare electrical calculations for solar and battery storage projects, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Power system modeling and preparing electrical calculations for solar and battery storage projects and substations
- Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support power system analysis
- Coordinating with lead engineer EOR on study requirements
- Analyze designs to ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NERC standards
- Perform modeling and studies using ETAP, WINIGS, CYMCAP and others
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, and ampacity studies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering especially in power system analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
- Skilled in protective device coordination and arc-flash analysis
- Capable of performing grounding system analysis
- Demonstrated experience in load flow, short circuit, and ampacity studies
- Power system modeling and preparing electrical calculations for solar and battery storage projects and substations

- MS in Electrical Engineering

- Professional engineering societies
- Proficient in modeling and analyzing transients including TOV, switching surges, and lightning in PSCAD/PSSE
- Knowledge in energy loss calculation
