SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team. The role involves qualifying leads generated through various marketing campaigns and ensuring smooth lead handoffs to the sales team while collaborating closely with both marketing and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads generated through marketing campaigns (website, digital, events, webinars, etc.) based on lead scoring criteria and buyer persona
- Engage with leads to assess their needs, pain points, and interest in Client offerings
- Use Salesforce, Pardot, and Outreach.io/Gong.io to manage, track, and progress leads throughout the qualification process
- Enrich inbound leads with missing or incomplete firmographic, demographic, and technographic data using tools such as ZoomInfo, Salesforce, and internal data sources
- Validate lead information to ensure accurate assignment to the correct territory, business unit (Direct, ETS, Channel or acquisitions), and sales owner based on established routing rules
- Maintain routing accuracy by proactively identifying discrepancies and working with Marketing Ops/Sales Ops to correct mapping or data gaps
- Ensure timely and seamless lead handoff to sales by following standardized BDR workflows and SLA timelines
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth lead handoffs and provide key insights from the marketing team's efforts
- Help maintain strong communication between marketing and sales, ensuring alignment on goals, processes, and performance metrics
- Conduct outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, etc.) to prospects to further qualify their interest and potential for conversion
- Maintain a consultative approach to build rapport and trust with leads while gathering necessary information to pass along to the sales team
- Track and report on lead qualification metrics using Salesforce and Pardot, ensuring that all leads are effectively transitioned to the sales team
- Provide regular feedback to marketing and sales leadership on lead quality and conversion rates, helping to optimize future campaigns
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to provide insights that help improve lead generation strategies
- Share valuable feedback with marketing to refine messaging and improve campaign effectiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress, experience (1-2 years)) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required
- Equivalent practical experience in B2B sales development may be considered
- Advanced English proficiency required
- 1-2 years of experience in lead qualification, sales development, or business development, preferably within a technology or enterprise solutions environment
- Experience working closely with both marketing and sales teams to drive revenue growth
- Spanish and English (fully bilingual)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Pardot, io & Outreach.io for lead management, automation, and outreach
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a passion for learning and growing within a fast-paced environment
- A customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value to prospects and internal teams
- Experience in the B2B technology
- Familiarity with lead qualification frameworks and methodologies
