Business Intelligence Analyst

VitalSource is a leader in digital content delivery for the education sector, seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Product team. The role involves transforming data into insights to inform strategic decisions and improve educational products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement BI solutions tailored to the education sector, focusing on student performance, educational content engagement, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data analytics needs, translating business questions into analytical projects
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends in the education industry
• Conduct in-depth analyses of educational data, including student performance, curriculum effectiveness, and market trends, to identify opportunities for product and service enhancement
• Work closely with the product development team to integrate analytics findings into EdTech solutions, ensuring data-driven decision-making in product design and feature improvements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Analyst role, preferably in the education or EdTech sector
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
• Familiarity with the education sector's challenges and opportunities, including knowledge of educational systems, standards, and regulatory requirements
