Prosum is looking for a Cloud Platform Software Engineer to help build and evolve scalable, secure, and developer-friendly cloud solutions. This role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with deep AWS expertise and a DevOps mindset to enable teams to deliver high-quality software—faster.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build cloud-native platform services and automation using modern engineering practices
- Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to standardize and scale cloud environments
- Architect secure, resilient, and cost-efficient solutions on AWS
- Create automation and tooling to enhance developer experience and operational efficiency
- Partner with application teams to enable self-service cloud capabilities
- Contribute to platform reliability, observability, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver iterative, high-impact solutions
- Document architecture, APIs, and operational processes
Requirements:
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Strong foundation in software design, APIs, and data structures
- Experience with RESTful or event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (compute, storage, networking, managed services)
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Experience with IaC tools (AWS CDK preferred, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Automation of provisioning, configuration, and deployments
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB)
- Ability to design effective data models
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
- CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
- DevOps practices: continuous delivery, automation, and operational ownership
- AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing)
- IAM and security best practices (least privilege, roles, policies)
- Multi-account AWS strategies (Control Tower, Account Factory)
- Observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
- Containers & orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
- Serverless and event-driven architectures (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, SNS)
- Security-first mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Passion for building platforms, not just applications
- Experience with internal developer platforms or enablement tooling
- Ability to mentor others and influence engineering standards
