About this role
Movement8 is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to lead the QA strategy and drive automation initiatives. The role involves building and maintaining a scalable test automation framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior QA members.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a scalable test automation framework using Playwright
- Manage QA tooling and environments (e.g., testquality.com, Netlify)
- Implement automated tests across frontend & backend systems
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed
- Track and document defects, ensuring smooth resolution workflows
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to define acceptance criteria and release readiness
- Mentor junior QA team members and champion QA best practices
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and tools
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge and experience in Playwright AND Javascript
- 4+ years of QA automation experience
- 2+ years hands-on with Playwright
- Strong experience designing QA environments, CI/CD setups, and test management systems
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripting
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest-Assured, etc.)
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with testquality.com and Netlify
