Laboratory Assistant- CEP-OB/GYN

Job Summary: Assists in the registering, billing, and completion of miscellaneous clerical work. The work is repetitive in nature and follows standard procedures with little room for deviation. The employee must exercise courtesy in dealing with patients and other hospital staff. Work is performed under general supervision following a period of rigid on-the-job training and is checked by observation and quality control procedures. Provides secretarial support to the department as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in hospital registration and ICD/CPT coding preferred.
• Science education preferred.
• Types 40-45 words per minute with intermediate level of computer knowledge.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
