TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They are seeking a highly motivated Junior Network Engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining the network infrastructure for their global enterprise. This role offers an opportunity to grow skills in a dynamic, remote environment while ensuring network stability and supporting key network technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide foundational support for a global company with offices around the world, ensuring network stability
- Monitor network gear, SaaS services, manage incoming alerts, and perform initial triage for network issues
- Assist in network maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Support key network technologies such as Cisco Meraki Switches, Wireless Access Points, Firewalls, routers, Global Protect VPN, and Portnox
- Monitoring services and alerts for: network gear and perform initial triage for network/SaaS platform issues
- Managing ticket queues, tickets and escalations
- Collaborate with the team and stakeholders in our offices for troubleshooting and remediation
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-based articles
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and monitoring principles
- A strong desire to learn and gain experience with Cisco Meraki, Global Protect VPN, and Portnox
- Maintaining ticket queues, tickets and escalations
- Working with IT operations management (ITOM) software that monitors and alerts on an organization's IT infrastructure, from network devices to servers and applications
- A team player with great communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
- Flexibility to cover a shift schedule to ensure 24x7 support for our offices. May include an on-call rotation
- Must have reliable internet for this remote position

- BA or BS Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA)
- Previous experience in a support or NOC environment
- A bias for action and strong problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn AI tools to help you with your role
